April Taylor-Practice Manager

April has been the Veterinary Practice Manager at Chenango Animal Hospital since 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Delaware and brings more than 14 years of experience in animal care, with roles ranging from kennel technician and veterinary assistant to zookeeper and zoological animal care manager.

What April loves most about veterinary medicine is that no two days are ever the same. She enjoys the constant opportunities to learn, grow, and solve new challenges while helping both pets and the people who love them.

Outside the clinic, April is a licensed New York State wildlife rehabilitator who volunteers countless hours caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. At home, she’s surrounded by animals with rescue stories of their own, including two cats, two ferrets, and a Siberian Husky/Norwegian Elkhound mix.

If the principal’s office ever called about one of April’s pets, it would definitely be about Lord Noodle, her mischievous ferret. Equal parts sleep champion and tiny tornado, he’s always finding new ways to turn everyday life into an adventure.

When she’s not caring for animals, April enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter, exploring new places, and capturing memories through photography.
