Bio of Dr. Tate Ackerman

Dr. Tate Ackerman, is excited to join the Chenango Animal Hospital team as a full-time Associate Veterinarian in August 2026.

Dr. Tate earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. She has a special interest in emergency medicine and infectious diseases and particularly enjoys emergency cases that can be diagnosed and treated in the same day. Some of her favorite cases include pyometras, foreign body surgeries, and eye emergencies.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Tate enjoys cooking and reading murder mysteries. An Endicott native and graduate of Seton Catholic Central Schools, Dr. Tate is looking forward to returning to the Southern Tier with her husband and serving the community where she grew up
